With a law practice focused upon complex commercial litigation, Mr. Tamayo’s past experience includes representing local and regional banks in a variety of sophisticated disputes including high-end commercial foreclosures, lender liability claims and assignment for the benefit of creditor proceedings.  He also represented commercial landlords, real estate firms and construction companies in a variety of business disputes including breach of contract matters, RICO litigation as well as trademark litigation.  He played a key role in successfully resolving controversies on behalf of financial institutions through summary judgment in several lawsuits having large amounts in controversy (including claims for $43 million; $25 million; and $11 million).

Jerry Tamayo has had the honor to serve as judicial clerk to both the Honorable Maureen O’Connor of the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Honorable Charles R. Petree of the Tenth District Court of Appeals of Ohio. 

Jerry Tamayo has been recognized as a “Rising Star™” in the 2010 Edition of the Florida Super Lawyers magazine.
